Nicole Hendrix, PhD, BCBA, joined the Marcus Autism Center in 2019. Within her clinical role, she conducts neurodevelopmental evaluations with children and adolescents referred with features of autism spectrum disorder. She also provides parent-mediated intervention to promote social communication in young autistic children and those with other social communication delays while overseeing an outpatient clinic centered on use of the evidence-based intervention Project ImPACT. Her research interests include increasing accessibility of evidence-based early intervention for traditionally marginalized families and examining mechanisms by which to facilitate early identification of neurodevelopmental disabilities. Dr. Hendrix completed her bachelor’s degree at Northwestern University and her doctorate in school psychology at the University of Iowa, which included a Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental Disabilities (LEND) fellowship. Following her graduate work, Dr. Hendrix completed doctoral internship and postdoctoral fellowship training at the Marcus Autism Center and Emory University School of Medicine.
